Project: Temporary Café Access

As part of ongoing refurbishment works at the Maternity Wing of Lincoln County Hospital main contractor RG Carter had to temporarily close the on-site café.  In order to ensure continued use of a refreshment area a specially adapted cabin was utilised.  However, to ensure safe and convenient ongoing access to this cabin specialist access was required and RG Carter contracted Rilmac Scaffolding to create a solution.

A ramp was required to allow for disabled access and, as the door opened outwards, an additional extension desk was also required.  The surfaces were covered in a very course roofing felt to ensure they were anti-slip.  The structure was built using Band & Plates on the scaffold to allow for a smoother finish with the final railings covered in foam padding to protect the public.
