It is obvious that providing scaffolding for prisons has certain restrictions, plus some stringent specifications.  However working to meet exacting criteria is something that Rilmac Scaffolding specialise in, meaning that their latest challenge ran smoothly from the outset.  Working for TSS Loss Adjusting, under the Carillion banner, the Scaffolding division have tackled their first prisons project, at HMP Highpoint.  Work was required on the gym roof and secure, specialist access was necessary.

As well as the stringent specification and tight timescales other issues Rilmac Scaffolding had to address included the provision of security fencing and razor wire, specialist hoarding, and a mechanical hoist. 

This first foray in to the provision of scaffolding for prisons has proved to be very successful, with Jack Davis, the TSS Project Manager saying, “Great job, the hoarding in particular is great.”  Rilmac Scaffolding are now looking are solving access issues for many more prisons in the future.
