The Rilmac Group of Companies employ 90 people at their three premises in the Allenby Road / Greetwell Road area of Lincoln.  In addition to these a further 150 scaffolders, thermal insulation engineers and asbestos operatives can be at these locations throughout the day.

The safety, security and health of all staff is the number one priority for Rilmac and the Group have invested in two state-of-the-art defibrillators for these premises in case of serious heart issues.

The portable units are fully automated ensuring that anyone, regardless of the stress involved, can use them safely and effectively.  Training has also been provided to staff in the proper use of the defibrillators.

Mick Davenport, Group SHEQ Manager proposed the purchase of the defibrillators, oversaw the installation and provided the training.  “As a trained first aider I am always looking to ensure we have the best options to respond to any emergency.  These defibrillators are simple to use, and everyone has been enthusiastic to learn how to use them correctly.” said Mick, “Of course we hope that they never actually have to be used, however it is reassuring to have them just in case.”

“We work in an environment which can be physically demanding.” added Steve Baxter, Group Managing Director, “which is why we provide a full range of health checks for our operational staff. The defibrillators give us another level of protection for all our employees and other local Companies near ourselves. We have purchased a third defibrillator for installation at our Northampton depot.”
