Project: Disused Mill Asbestos Removal

Hartford Mill, in Preston Lancashire, was the first project Rilmac Asbestos completed for a leading demolition contractor and included the removal and safe disposal of all contaminated materials on the site.
Working five days a week for four weeks a Rilmac team of between four and six highly trained operatives cleaned and removed all salvageable materials from the main store before safely disposing of all asbestos boards and contaminated materials and cleaning down the area.
Additionally, over 350m2 of asbestos insulation board, and over 60m of asbestos pipe insulation, plus other contaminated elements were removed under the same controlled conditions and disposed of safely from the other four sections of the mill.
The project was completed well within the programme and passed all visual inspections and 4 Stage Air Monitoring with no issues raised.
