Rilmac Celebrates it’s 50th Birthday at the 2007 Lincolnshire Show
Rilmac’s marquee at the Lincolnshire Show was graced by Quicksilver – at 300mph, potentially the world’s fastest boat. Here, Quicksilver’s driver Nigel Macknight gives his impressions of the event and working with Rilmac.
There has been a great deal of support for our bid to return the World Water Speed Record to this country after an absence of 40 years. Lots of companies and individuals have rallied to the cause and given a helping hand. You have to go right back to the era of Donald Campbell and Bluebird for our last taste of success in this most difficult and demanding field. The Americans held the record from 1967 to 1977 and Australia has held it ever since.
Just imagine that … the current World Water Speed Record of 317.6mph has stood for 30 years! Surely, with the technological advances of the past three decades, this record is ripe for the taking? We certainly think so

Rilmac Fabrication Specialising to Achieve
Rilmac Sheet metal first began its humble operations at Craven Street back in 1968. Set-up by Figurehead Roger Walker, who is still actively involved today, and Harry Walker, it consisted of a small but dedicated team of six; Gordon Radford, Jim Morris, Derek Turner, Peter Embling, Arthur Hourton and our very own Mick Quincey. Operating within the high precision sheet metal side of the light fabrication industry; its very first order was from the now defunct ‘Clayton Dewanderers’.

Scaffolding Move Completed
Rilmac Scaffolding have now completed their move into their new yard and offices, all of the work to upgrade the site to suit our operational needs has now been completed.

Rilmac @ Interbuild 2006
The 2006 interbuild show at the NEC in Birmingham was deemed a great success by all who attended, with a large number of visitors dropping in on the Rilmac stand, some from as far a field as Russia, Australia & India.

Scaffolding Raises The Roof!
Rilmac Scaffolding were recently involved in a Project which saw one of Lincolnshire’s more unusual landmarks disappear from the skyline for a short while. The familiar “Golf Ball” on the hilltop near Caistor, which is actually the protective cover of an air traffic control radar, needed to be removed for maintenance.

Rilmac are long standing supporters of the Lincoln City Football Club, and have placed a new advertising board behind the goal at The IMPS Stand of the ground.

Rilmac Sponsor City of Lincoln 10K Road Race 2005
Rilmac are to sponsor next year’s City of Lincoln 10k Road Race. The annual event which has grown since it started in 1997 is to be held on 3 April 2005.
